Data deletion instructions
This page explains how to request deletion of personal data Risolva holds about you. We comply with applicable data-protection laws (including GDPR for EU residents and PECA for Pakistani residents) and respect every deletion request from end users, business users, and people whose conversations have passed through our platform.
What data we hold
- Account data for users of the Risolva dashboard — name, email, role.
- Workspace data uploaded by our business clients — knowledge documents, channel credentials, contact records.
- Conversation data — messages exchanged between our business clients and their customers via WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, or our web chat widget.
- Usage data — log entries and IP addresses retained for security and service operation.
How to request deletion
From the email address associated with your Risolva account or your business relationship, send us a message at [email protected] with the subject line "Data deletion request." Include the following:
- Your full name (as it appears on your account, if applicable).
- The email address registered with your Risolva account, OR the phone number / messaging handle if your data was generated through a conversation with one of our business clients (so we can locate your records).
- The business or workspace through which you interacted with us, if known.
- A short description of what data you want deleted (all data, or a specific subset).
Identity verification
For security, we may ask you to confirm your identity before processing the request, to prevent unauthorised deletion of someone else's data. Verification typically means replying from the email address on file or providing a recent unique identifier from a prior interaction.
Timeline
We acknowledge every deletion request within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving a verified request. We will confirm completion in writing, and provide a unique confirmation code you can keep for your records.
What we cannot delete
We may retain a limited subset of data after a deletion request when we are legally obliged to do so — for example, financial records required by Pakistani tax law, fraud- prevention logs, or backups that are deleted on a documented retention cycle. We will explain in our response if any data falls into this category and how long it will be retained.
Deletion via Facebook / Meta's data deletion request
If you used a Meta product (WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messenger) to communicate with one of our business clients via Risolva, you can also trigger a data deletion request through Meta:
- Open Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites.
- Find Risolva in your connected apps list.
- Click Remove and select Send Request.
Meta will forward the request to us, and we will process it under the same 30-day timeline described above. You will receive a confirmation code from us when the deletion is complete.
Children
Risolva is a B2B service and we do not knowingly collect data from people under 16. If you believe we hold data about a child, write to us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
